Every mowkib is built by people who simply showed up to serve. There is a place for you — whether beside an existing mowkib, or at the start of a new one. كلُّ موكبٍ يبنيه أناسٌ حضروا ببساطة لِيخدموا. لك مكانٌ بيننا — سواءٌ إلى جانب موكبٍ قائم، أو في بداية موكبٍ جديد.
Join the mowkib in your city انضمَّ إلى موكب مدينتك
If there is already a mowkib near you, it needs hands more than anything else — to cook, to carry, to set up and clean up, to welcome people and pour tea. You do not need experience or Arabic; you need only willingness. Start your own mowkib ابدأ موكبك الخاص
Many people — especially in the West — have no mowkib near them at all. If that is you, then the mowkib your city is missing might be the one you begin. It is simpler than you think. كثيرٌ من الناس — خاصّةً في الغرب — لا يجدون موكباً قربهم البتّة. إن كنت منهم، فربّما يكون الموكب الذي تفتقده مدينتك هو الذي تبدؤه أنت. والأمر أبسط ممّا تظنّ.

Begin with intention ابدأ بالنيّة
A mowkib starts in the heart. Set your intention to serve the mourners of Husayn — everything else follows from that. يبدأ الموكب في القلب. اعقِد نيّتك على خدمة عزاء الحسين — وكلُّ ما عداه يتبع ذلك.

Start small ابدأ صغيراً
One urn of tea, a tray of dates, a table of water. A single person with a single offering is already a mowkib. دلّةُ شايٍ واحدة، وصحنُ تمرٍ، وطاولةُ ماء. شخصٌ واحدٌ بعطاءٍ واحدٍ هو موكبٌ بالفعل.

Find your place اختر مكانك
Outside a majlis or mosque, on a campus, along a procession route — wherever mourners and travellers pass. خارج مجلسٍ أو مسجد، في حرمٍ جامعي، على طريق موكب — حيثما يمرّ المعزّون والمسافرون.

Gather a few hands اجمع بضع أيادٍ
Invite friends and family. Serving together is itself a form of remembrance, and many hands make it light. ادعُ الأهل والأصحاب. الخدمة جماعةً هي بذاتها نوعٌ من الذكرى، وكثرةُ الأيادي تُخفّف العبء.

Serve everyone اخدم الجميع
Turn no one away. The mowkib gives without asking who is receiving. لا تردَّ أحداً. الموكب يُعطي دون أن يسأل من المُتلقّي.

Put it on the map ضَعه على الخريطة
Once you’ve begun, list your mowkib in the directory so others can find — and join — you. بعد أن تبدأ، أَدرِج موكبك في الدليل ليجدك الآخرون — وينضمّوا إليك.
